27.6.2007 Wednesday - Highgate Hill, Brisbane

Soundtrack of my life
Peter the Meter Reader
Meri Wilson/Donn Bearman

Mention possums to anybody who ever lived in a house in Brisbane, and she will reach for her revolver. The furry monsters start running back and forth across the tin roofs before sunrise on any given morning, and they really sound as if they are wearing military boots. It's illegal to shoot the little cuties, but you are allowed to catch them and take them away... as far as 50 meters from your house. (After this, the possums return to their home, of course.) Anyway - now it seems that there is someone who will do the dirty work for you.

"Hi. My name is Peter. Peter the Possum Removal Man." I bet this guy gets laid a lot.

22.6.2007 Friday - City, Brisbane

Soundtrack of my life
Blacker Than Black
Goodbye Mr MacKenzie

I searched for the song of the day for fifteen years, and when I finally found it, CDs had gone all out of fashion. Damn it.

19.6.2007 Tuesday - St Lucia, Brisbane

A category 1 cyclone is about to hit New South Wales, and later tonight it will continue towards Brisbane. I think I better go home from the Uni as long as I can still walk upright...

16.6.2007 Saturday - City, Brisbane

The Pride Parade filled the streets of Brisbane... and the roadworkers booed at the them. Well, I wouldn't expect any less from my lovely redneck hometown.

15.6.2007 Friday - St Lucia, Brisbane

Rainbow lorikeets taste a bit like chicken. That's what they say, anyway.

14.6.2007 Thursday - Highgate Hill, Brisbane

This week I 'ave been mostly eating miso soup.

10.6.2007 Sunday - Mount Tamborine, Queensland

Did some cellar door tasting in the local wineries. The view from the paragliding departure point wasn't half bad.

7.6.2007 Thursday - Highgate Hill, Brisbane

I have a new housemate. She is blue (like me).
